This is a system developed by Shiva Rea and is described as a breath inspired journey where yoga asanas are creatively and intelligently linked to create whole body transformation of strength and fluidity as well as cicrulation and centering. Prana is life force energy that is within us and around us all the time. This is a 90 min clothing optional beginner to intermediate yoga practice incorportating flow yoga, pranayama, meditation, and partnering yoga. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and let go of “ego”-based fears, attachments, and defenses, transformation arises revealing our truth. Learn to fully appreciate and accept yourself beyond the physical, in a safe sacred environment. By removing our clothes, we free ourselves from attachment with the nonpermanent body. In brotherhood, this divine practice embraces cultivating authenticity, compassion, and appreciation. Please bring own mat and towel. Taught at Yogadowntown. Relieve tension and feel more relaxed with this therapeutic class designed to enhance body awareness, develop better posture, and improve core strength. Provided foam rollers will assist you in softening myofascia as well as being used for increased proprioception and balance challenges during your core work. Lacrosse balls will also be provided for specific points that tend to be congested. This class is excellent for beginners and anyone who wants to create a home practice that encompasses a holistic approach to relieving pain and facilitating optimal energy levels. In this session you will have a chance to create a deeper intimacy with your partner though assisted partnering yoga. This gentle contact practice offers you to dive deeper into yoga postures using your partners body weight. The practice of partner yoga involves physical asana, touch, conscious breathing, humor and play.
